(January 6, 2016) Alan Butterbaugh, president of Glatfelter Claims Management, has announced his retirement after 36 years of dedicated and loyal service to Glatfelter Insurance Group (GIG).
When Alan began his career with GIG in 1979, there were less than 20 associates. Alan has been an invaluable member of the GIG senior management team and has provided strong leadership, guidance and management with respect to every aspect of our claims operations. His contribution to the history, culture and success of GIG is immeasurable.
While we will greatly miss Alan as president of our claims operations, we are pleased to announce that his successor will be Stephen McConaghy, senior vice president of claims operations.
Steve has a strong background in claims administration. His background, and many years of leadership experience with Glatfelter Claims Management, make him an excellent fit to continue our tradition of pursuing claims excellence. Steve’s transition into the role of president of Glatfelter Claims Management will occur over the next three months and will become effective March 31, 2016.
