Position Announcement


Software Systems Administrator - IT/ Wholesale Applications(Req#1643)

Ensures the control, integrity and accessibility of enterprise application server environment(s). Recommends change management procedures regarding the installation and testing of all upgrades and enhancements. Responsible for the proper initial installation as well as subsequent installations of updates and patches. Performs proactive, regular checks of system components for errors and applies necessary corrective action. Troubleshoots problems and takes corrective action on a timely, effective basis. Develops new hardware recommendations based on application needs and anticipated growth. Bachelors degree or equivalent work experience in the field of information systems, computer science or other related field required and 3-5 years of I.T. work experience including systems administration in multi-platform environments. Must have demonstrated experience with web application server technologies and administration and basic Microsoft(R) Windows scripting skills and working knowledge of network protocols (HTTP, TCP/IP, etc.). Understanding of network concepts as well as knowledge of Microsoft(R) Windows and Java runtime environments required.


Sales Executive - GPP Marketing(Req#1649)

Seeking a motivated insurance professional to join the GPP sales team in the New England region. Will develop and promote the sale and use of all GPP products and services through independent agents to achieve business plan elements, premium growth, profitability and market penetration objectives. Will promote and maintain goodwill between GPP and key distributors in six New England states. Exercises technical expertise, analytical ability and sound business judgment while assisting in the effective analysis of state specific public entity market environments for the potential expansion of all GPP product lines. BS Degree or equivalent industry experience and a minimum of three (3) years commercial property and casualty sales, marketing or underwriting experience is desired. Familiarity with all aspects of public entity (including misc. entities, special districts, public and private schools) is desired. Experience in the design, development, and implementation of business and sales plans and the ability to analyze the effectiveness of all existing plans are required. Must have and maintain or attain, within three (3) months, current property & casualty licenses for appropriate states. Successful completion of at least two parts of CPCU, three parts CIC, or its equivalent is desired. Frequent travel, including overnight travel, is required.


President, Wholesale/Specialty Programs - Wholesale Operations(Req#1655)

Assumes sales & marketing management and leadership responsibilities for the Wholesale-Specialty Programs of GIG. These responsibilities include management oversight of each Program budget, including agency profit and loss, working closely with direct reports in the planning and implementation of sales and marketing objectives, policies and programs, and the promotion of associate development. Maintains a high profile visibility internally and externally. Bachelor's Degree in business or marketing with a minimum of 15 years' experience in insurance sales and marketing with management, budgetary and profit center responsibilities. Must have and maintain P&C and Life & Health licenses in all states. Strongly desire experience in the design, development, and marketing of specialty insurance programs for targeted markets distributed primarily on a wholesale basis.


State Filings Analyst - ICO/Actuarial(Req#1662)

Prepares and submits insurance company partner filings for GIG Property and Casualty insurance programs to ensure timely approval of rate, rule and form filings by state insurance departments. Functions as a liaison between the carrier, GIG, and state insurance departments to resolve filing issues and communicates filing status. Bachelor’s degree or equivalent insurance industry experience and a minimum five (5) years work experience in a property and casualty insurance company or consulting state filings department required. Advanced knowledge of, and experience with, commercial property and casualty insurance products required, as well as experience with preparing and submitting insurance department rate and form filings and responding to insurance department filing questions. Extensive knowledge of insurance department rules and regulations governing coverage forms, endorsements, rates, rules, and policy declarations in addition to experience using MS Word and Excel, SERFF and filing tracking software required.


P&C Underwriter - ICO/VFIS Underwriting(Req#1665)

Provides guidance, training, and support to Underwriting Assistants on team. Monitors the quantity and quality of work performed by the Underwriting Assistants on the team. Identifies and evaluates exposures on new and selected renewal business and accepts, modifies or rejects risks based on underwriting and pricing authority. High school diploma or equivalent with appropriate course work leading to proficiency in verbal and written communication skills. Must have a minimum of two (2) years commercial lines underwriting or related experience in either a company or an agency. Must have and maintain or attain within three (3) months a current property-casualty license for Pennsylvania and appropriate other licenses as required. Previous supervisory experience preferred.
